Winner of Sharon Blains 4 Day Long Hair Boot Camp in Santa Monica!!!!

So it has been 1 month since I attended Sharon Blains 4 Day Boot Camp, and let me tell you...It was hands down the best experience I have encountered thus far as a hairstylist! To fill you in, I applied for Sharon Blains scholarship which consisted of a list of requirements: A 400 word paper on why I believe I should win (including accomplishments within hairdressing as well as involvement in the industry), proof that I have been a licensed hairdresser for 8 years as well as photos of my work. After a few months of waiting to here back I found out early August as could not have been more excited.

Sharon Blain had been in the industry for over 50 years and is recognized for her work on long hair. She has won many awards including: 2x Industry Business Performance of the Year Award, Boot Camp, 4x Winner Hair Expo Educator of the Year, 7x Finalist Hair Expo Hairdresser of the Year Award. To say the least is was a huge honor to have won the scholarship! I knowledge learned was boundless and to be taught by an amazing talent such as Sharon Blain and her team (Julie Hagney, 2016 NAHA winner Lucy Doughty and Traci Sakosits of Vidal Sassoon WAS INCREDIBLE! The level of drive and professionalism was a duality I have yet to witness in the hair industry and to me that is far more than I could have ever imagined. My skill set and ability to create updos has been elevated and I am so thankful for the opportunity provided by Sharon Blain Education!
